AS 279 — Case Management I: Screening, Diagnosis, Assessment, and ASAM (5 cr)
The course introduces records management paperwork and application of confidentiality laws, such as CFR 42, and HIPAA laws, which is essential for beginning case managers when entering into the field of addictions. Students will practice diagnosis, placement, and referral of patients through the applications of case studies. This beginning course will prepare the students as they move into Case Management 2.
